WINN Team Receives the PEO(T) Spotlight Award for DEC 2014

Program Executive Officer, Tactical Programs (PEO(T)), RADM “BD” Gaddis,  recently presented the Spotlight Award for Dec 2014 to the WINN team, of which TacAir is a member. During FY14, the WINN team completed the NATIP manuals for the F/A-18 and E/A-18G. These documents are composed of 14,831 pages, 157 chapters and 26 appendices. The WINN team raised the bar on performance in FY14 by publishing 61 weapons systems chapters and releasing 74 permanent weapons flight clearances, which is a 250% increase over FY13. The WINN team is recognized by the Fleet as the technical experts on F/A-18 and EA-18G capabilities. The WINN team also took on the role of leading the FY14 NATOPS and is involved in reshaping the process to streamline future NATOPS updates. Through their continued dedication and attention to detail, the WINN team demonstrated their dedication to the U.S. Navy and the individual warfighter.


Joint Strike Fighter Experimentation Support

November 2013 – Tactical Air Support, Inc. (TacAir) is contracted by Lockheed Martin Corporation to provide subject matter experts (SMEs) in support of experimentation studies for Joint Strike Fighter (F-35C) integration and interoperability with the Carrier Air Wing and Carrier Strike Group of tomorrow. The distributed Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) experimentation is led and centered at Lockheed Martin’s Center for Innovation in Suffolk, Virginia.
TacAir SMEs bring technical, tactical, and operational expertise to the effort – providing not only recent operational experience, but also rapid reach back to active duty tactical leaders. TacAir’s contributions lend an exceptional level of credibility and realism to experiment scenarios, and provide “apples-to-apples” comparisons with other acquisition studies.

AGM-88E AARGM Block II Functional Design

October 2013 – Tactical Air Support, Inc. contracted with a large prime defense contractor to further refine the functional design of the AGM-88E Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM) Block II. AARGM provides the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and Italian Air Force the latest and most advanced weapon system for engaging and destroying enemy air defenses and time-critical mobile targets.

AARGM is a supersonic, medium-range, air-launched tactical missile compatible with U.S. and allied strike aircraft, including all variants of the F/A 18, Tornado, EA-6B, EA-18G, F-16 and F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF).

Naval Aviation Technical Information Product

March 2013 – Tactical Air Support, Inc. (TacAir) is awarded a multi-year Task Order to continue work on Naval Aviation Technical Information Product (NATIP), which serves as permanent flight clearance for tactical systems and is the engineering foundation for TOPGUN/MAWTS/HAVOC/FMS tactics development. TacAir began work on NATIP in 2010.

As part of this contract, TacAir is providing program management and operational subject matter expert support of PMA-265 for the F/A-18A-D, E/F and EA-18G NATIP. Work on this project requires the facilitation of an unprecedented level of collaboration between NAVAIR engineers and fleet weapons schools. The result is a cohesive technical document that has become the go-to resource for fleet Hornet and Growler aircrew.
