Nevada based Tactical Air Support, Inc. (TacAir), has received U.S. State Department approval of their contract to purchase 21 Royal Jordanian Air Force F-5E/F aircraft, to include all remaining parts, Support Equipment and engines. The aircraft are slated for upgrades and are intended to support U.S. Navy and Air Force adversary contracts over the coming months.
TacAir currently owns and operates 5 F-5’s that are optimized for Fighter Lead in Training. In addition to flight operations, Tactical Air is performing F-5 maintenance and logistical services on the U.S. Navy/Marine Corps F-5 Adversary contract.
According to CEO, RC Thompson, “this purchase will give TacAir the largest tactically relevant commercial fighter fleet in the world. The F-5 was chosen for its reliability, maintainability, efficiency and safety record. In addition, the F-5 is still operational within the U.S. military and around the world, with full OEM support. There are several countries around the world today installing upgraded tactical systems into the F-5 that we will leverage to develop an ideal adversary solution for our men and women in uniform.”
